Series: Cotidiano
Cotidiano is a timeless portrait of Brazil — a record of the present, the past, and the future, reimagined through post-photography.
The largest series within the Brasil Profundo collection, it builds an ongoing record of everyday Brazilian life. Through the silent acts that sustain daily existence, these images explore contrasts — beauty and adversity — within an expanded monochromatic documentary aesthetic.
As YSA’s signature body of work, the series is meticulously crafted with generative technology (AI), marked by strong shadows, natural light.
Cotidiano will soon be on the blockchain — honoring the everyday as a social, poetic, and political foundation.

Series: Ofícios
Ofícios is a profound series that portrays work as heritage and identity — a tribute to the manual skills that shape Brazil and powerfully endure through a post-photographic lens.
Re-envisions Brazilians who are guardians of traditions and livelihoods, often disappearing in the rush of progress. From the marisqueira to the trapicheiro, from the cortador de cana to the artesão — each portrait, meticulously crafted with generative technology (AI), pays tribute to the dignity and beauty of a disappearing trade.
Professions that are fading from the scene are here preserved by art, becoming timeless fragments of a collective memory.

Series: Fé & Crendices
Fé e Crendices will be a series exploring popular spirituality as an expression of resistance and belonging — a post-photographic portrait of the Brazil that believes, prays, heals, and celebrates.
Each image will be a dive into the invisible forces that move entire communities. From promises at the altar to herbal garrafadas, from rituals of syncretism to the blessings of the rezadeira — it will be a tribute to beliefs that withstand time, even as modernity tries to silence their symbols.
Here, faith is body, gesture, and tradition. And art, once again, will preserve what cannot be erased.
About Brasil Profundo collection
Brasil Profundo, a collection that does not seek to portray the entirety of Brazil, but to celebrate fragments of it — a Brazil that pulses on the margins, in enduring traditions, and in the stories that shape our identity.
More than a collection of portraits, it is a profound tribute to beauty and a testimony to tradition. Here, post-photographic art, embracing black and white, meets our roots — revealing that Brazil which persists in the everyday, in faces, and in collective memory.
Divided into series such as Cotidiano, Ofícios, Fé e Crendices, and others still to come, each image is a gesture of memory and belonging — a living archive of our heritage. We live in times where advancements are inevitable, and that’s why Brasil Profundo exists: YSA believes that recording is preserving, even if re(imagined).
Here, algorithms don’t create distance — they bring us closer. Each portrait carries the strength of a collective legacy, a visual ode to the Brazil that pulses through its roots — and now, remains.
